DeJarnette Insurance Agency, Inc. was founded in 1949 by Harry DeJarnette as an independent insurance agency with one location on Stage Coach Road.  In 1967, another agency was purchased and a second location was added on Main Street.  The agency is still owned and operated by the same family with Vickie DeJarnette Barker being the present owner.

 

What is an Independent Agent?  There are three sources for insurance:

1.     Captive Agents, who can sell you the insurance of only one company.

2.     Direct Response representatives, who can offer you the insurance of one company, and only on the telephone or internet.

3.     Independent Insurance Agents, who represent a number of insurance companies, and research with these companies to find you the best combination of price, coverage and ongoing service.
